Hi people! It's been a while since I wrote here right? Hehe well I have been bussy with lots of things, specially my new work at an animation study at my city! Yay! And also... I'm pregnant! So It's been pretty bussy around here! Hehehehe

Ok so, take a look to a bit of the works at the study! Hope u like it! "Victoria" is a character created based on my baby! She will be born next year so we decided to add a character who we think will look like my baby! Yay!

Hi to all! Just wanted to upload a new post showing some of my favorite photos from my euro-trip !!! hehe... it's been a while since I came to this blog and update it, specially because I opened another blog at tumblr that you can see here: My Tumblr Blog , but I really wish they had the special features I have here to add on my entries, I don't know, perhaps I still don't know how to use it properly, but the final entries are sometimes weird...and I'm not used to them, but I also have more followers there so I decided to update it more often... specially with shorts posts, here I create longer ones...

Any way... I wanted to show you my photos and here they are! Enjoy! And if u have been or live in those places, let me know wich one is your favorite and why, I would love to read your experience!

Mac vs. Vaio Touchscreen! Vote!

Click the photo to see both in big size! This is a difficult decision, I love both really! Mac has always been the pretty one! but when I saw the Vaio touchscreen I was blown away! This one has everything mac has, plus the touch screen!!!! is light and with a very pretty design! It comes in different colors (even pink!) but I would choose the black one to match my Cintiq 12wx! hehehe

I decided to buy a desktop instead of a laptop because I'm going to work from home (as I have been doing all the time) and a desktop will be better for me to add to the desk and place my cintiq right bellow it.

So... wich one would you pic! google both to see... they both are great!

Disney Pirate Mermaids

Pirate Mermaids Commission (2011)

Hi to all!!!!! I'm really happy about this commission work! it is really big, 3 characters takes forever to finish, and of corse, 3 characters with lots of details takes moooore time! But I finally finished! and with my new Cintiq 12wx tablet! yay!!!!! first drawing I do without pen tool in all the lineart!

Yes well... first of all here is the beloved new tablet! take a look:

And I'm really happy to be able to have this tablet! is really awesome! is not big, u can move it around your desk, and you can draw directly on the screen! it is a total hit! But...it has a bad side...so far I don't understand why it need so much wires, almost all the photos are showed without them, but the tablet got a big box with buttons and 3 connections for your computer... is kind of too much for me... for the money, it should be wireless!

Any way... but the quality for the drawing is awesome! the colors are amazing too! I'm really happy! and bye bye pen tool! I will only use it for special parts of the drawing only!

Ok, but getting back to the drawing! a commissioner from Deviantart (thedarkstrider) asked me to draw 3 disney girls like pirate mermaids! so after thinking a while, I decided to draw this 3 girls! and I'm really happy because they look like a great team together!!!!! I first google images for inspiration, poses, and details in colors!

So... after getting this images! i started to draw the sketch for the drawing!

I use this images as references for expressions and pose! but of corse, I had to add much details like mermaid tails (except for Ariel), change a bit the clothes to fit more the "pirate" style (that was provided by commissioner, because he/she sent me images with pirate mermaids details he liked)... and then add the treasure chest! hehehe... it was so much fun!!!! I really enjoyed a lot doing this drawing! And I hope u too!!! :)

You can found this drawing on Deviantart and Flickr so far, but I will add it to my Facebook fanpage tomorrow.

Stamps Stamps Stamps!!!

Ok... quick post.... just to show you a really pretty package I received today! I'm really happy because Betty from Simply Betty Stamps sent me a package a few weeks ago with the Stamps made from the characters I created for her:

....and some other goodies and surprises... and the postman came to my door today with a big box! and I was like what is this? when I open it I found a loooovely surprise! check it out:

Annie Leibovitz Disney Photos!

A few years ago I found the some photos taken by Annie Leibovitz for Disney Parks and I was shocked! this stunning photos let me speechless! And I search on the entire internet to get them bigger to be able to use them as wallpapers, and I even got inspired by her Aladdin and Jasmine's photo, that I made my own tribute to it, and you can download it HERE!!! in high quality to be used as wallpaper as well.

But... now for the good news!!!!... I'm obsessed with her again because this time I saw on El Mundo de Fawn Blog that we have now 3 more incredible photos!!! Thanks a lot to Disney and Annie because this really gives me a lot of inspiration to draw more Disney fan-art and it makes me happy because I can use them again as wallpapers at my laptop! This are truly a masterpiece art in photography!

Ok, so here I am sharing with you my personal favorites! and I will include the 3 new ones too! ... so take a look!

Spring Bonus Art!

I'm really happy because since a week ago I have been working in the graphics and art for a game named "Spring Bonus" this game is creation of Grey Alien Games and you can see a special entry about this game (and me !!!! ) here!

As you can read there, all this begin with my artwork test... I was asked to create a countryside background where I can show a little river, trees, a house, animals and flowers! and with a little cartoon style... I drew this drawing based on Disney backgrounds.

After this I was chosen!!! and I started to work with the actual backgrounds for the game! And some lovely characters! A bunny, a lamb and a baby chicken! love them all so far!

And you can see a little sneak peak of some backgrounds and the main character! I hope u like it as much as I do!!!!

Ok so... if u want to know more about the game, you can look into Grey Alien Games blog! but here is a bit of info about it:

"It’s a match-3 game with a Spring/Easter theme, plus there will be 100 levels. It will be launch on April 15, 2011 on several different platforms including PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone, XBox Live Indie Games and Windows Phone 7 (and maybe even Linux)"

Sounds like fun right? I'm pretty excited! This is the real first game I am working on, because I had 2 different commission works for games before, but never knew about the final result, so I was thinking maybe it didn't work or I don't know what happend.... right now I'm really happy with this one! and I have been working hard day and night to get it done! So I hope all of you can be part of it and get your Spring Bonus game when it's done!

New Commission: Tinkerbell's Spell

Well I'm pretty happy to be able to finish this commission work today! yaaaay... and I still have so much more to do... but I wanted to show you this one, and let you know more about how I work, and what are the steps I follow to draw something like this... inspiration and more!

Tinkerbell's Spell

So... I just wanted to explain how did I get to do this drawing! First of all... the commisison "Jkrolak" from Deviantart sent me the information about them... this drawing is based on a story wrote by the commissioner, and I will write it here a bit of it so u can understand what happend on it:

"A quick mischief filled spell Tinker Bell would enable Peter to see Wendy for the silly ass she was. Then, his attention would return to the fairy and things would be just like they were before. It would have worked perfectly had not Wendy bent over at the last moment.... and Tink had noticed the large mirror that had been right behind her.
What Happened?...Due to the spell richochette, both Tink and Wendy are now centaurs"

Ok so now you can all known the background of the drawing, that's why Tink is really upset with the result! and Wendy is shocked!!!

And what to do with this... I first look for images from the characters I need to draw, specially images I could use to set the colors in the movie! like this ones I found:

And as you can see, this are almost the same colors I used for the drawing, because I want it to have the feeling of this scene could be part of the movie too! ... so I look a lot for images of the girls I need to draw, and then started to sketch...!!! ... this was the result:

Tinkerbell's Spell SKETCH

Sometimes I need to check for poses on internet too, specially hands... I hate to draw hands because I don't feel I can make them good, so I always look for images of the right position of the hands, and this can help you out with the sketch.

And... after the big ink and coloring process for the characters (all done in Photoshop cs5 and with a wacom bamboo tablet) I started the background... that was based on the Hangman's tree from Peter pan's movie:

And this is the image provided by the commissioner, I tried to get closed to this, not with all the details and the lost boys of course, but I think I could finally manage to get closed to this image... and it was all created with simple brushes from photoshop and the SMUDGE tool... this is my magic tool to blend all colors and create that soft painting style, not same as disney here, but it is an efect I really love because it also makes the characters stand out the background.

Well... I guess that's it... I finish the drawing deciding if I should add a white frame or not, and with my signature on the corner, and of corse, before post any artwork on your website be sure to add a "watermark" this is important because it will helps you to control your drawings and protect them!

I hope you enjoyed this post, I wanted to let you know what steps I follow to draw, and this is almost what I do in all my drawings, first inspiration, then sketches, and finally the coloring process! background at the end, and that's it! Movies & Fashion are next....

Hi people!!!! Well I have been checking my poll, and Movies Divas are the next ones! so... I have again a decision to make! first of all, movies divas is such a big world!!! and I'm not sure to want to take this right now because I have no idea which girl to choose, so ... I want u to help me to get ideas for MOVIES DIVAS, and with this... I want to make sure to let you know that I want to do "Characters" not actresses... but Characters on the movies! So.. let me know who are your favorite characters from movies (girls of corse)!

And now, another choice to make is about fashion! for this category I want to draw my 2 favorite fashion bloggers! Music, Movies, TV & Fashion Divas Collection?

Hi to all! I'm glad to write the Blog again! even if I only have 15 followers so far, I know you are happy to read it, and that makes me happy to! and of corse, I wanted you to help me with some art decisions!

Well I wanted to write this entry because I'm thinking about my new collection of drawings, I already have some other collections like my Real Disney Princess/heroines collection of drawings that make disney girls more realistic based on real tv or movie artists, or even models that I found and didn't quite know their names. But this time, I want to try a collection with my pin-up cute style! and I have been asking on Deviantart about it in a poll... so far the two finalist who has been fighting about the first place are "music" and "movies" but I will do all of the ones I mentioned before.... just wanted to be sure of what people want to see...

Ok, then those two are my finalist, I will decide wich one I will do first... I believe music can be my first one! but now I have to choose a music diva to draw... and I'm not sure wich one! I wanted to draw Lady Gaga or Katy Perry first, I have so far this photos; but I need to choose! take a look and help!...

I'm going to draw both and more of corse, I want a collection with at least 5 divas in it... so I'm also thinking on christina aguilera, rihanna, beyonce, shakira... I don't know, I love a lot of people in the music bussines, so you can also help me decide who else can it be after this 2 divas that already are in the collection!

A little bit of my story...

Hi to all! And welcome to my Art Blog, I decided to create a blog because I have been following some blogs from other artists, and I decided it is time for me to have one, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

So.. first of all, my name is Claudia Patrón Pérez, but everyone knows me as "Madmoiselleclau" because that's my current ID at all my other art pages (deviantart, facebook, twitter, flickr), and I have been a freelance illustrator and artist since a few years ago.

Art is something that I have always loved, and I started a pretty young age (perhabs 7 years old), I used to draw with pencils or color pencils, then I started to do some oil paitings when I was on high school, like this one, my first oil painting!!!:

But since I finish college in 2008 I decided to dedicate myself to art, and started my Deviantart page, since that moment I learned how to draw in Photoshop and I started a pretty fun career with Digital Art! I used lots of Tutorials and learned by myself how to draw with a computer, even I used to draw with my MOUSE, but finally got my tablet and life has been so much easier!

This are some pieces I did at first when I started to use photoshop and my mouse:

Now I think I can be called "Traditional & Digital Artist" because I draw using both styles, and sometimes I combined them to create a different style of art.

And finally I want to show you what kind of work I do... I have so many pieces I would love to share, but I prefer to show you one of each style right now, and later on I will show more of my past work...

This is the "Disney style" (because I'm a total disney-fan!!!!)

A mermaid wish... (2010)

"Pin-up Cute Style" was created when I decided to start working with Vectors and based on some of my favorite pin-up artists like mimi-na, kinkei or mashi from Deviantart.

Tinkerbell (2009)

"Pencil Portrait" I usually mix this one with photoshop help for create more shadows and lights, or even to color them or give a nice warm sepia color, like this:

The Little Mermaid (2009)

"Digital Painting" is a style of art I admire in so many artist, and I'm starting to experience with it, it's fun and free, a form of art when u transform your digital paper into a canvas and let your tablet pen work as a paintbrush! love it...

Princess Serenity (2010)

Well, and I guess that's all for now... I will continue adding posts about my past works and my 2011 works too... so follow me here, at DA, twitter, facebook, flickr...
